The new owners are reported to have paid the debt to HMRC, and the Council have agreed a 'Memorandum of Understanding' over the £10.25million loan and will end the procedure to appoint an Administrator.

Northwich 1874 have withdrawn from the FA Vase after being told they would have to make a 400 mile round trip on Wednesday night. Their trip to Morpeth was postponed at the weekend after the fan-owned side stayed overnight on the Friday, but they say they could not raise a team for the rearranged date as players could not get time off work for the eight hour round trip. Morpeth have donated their £1,000 prize money from the subsequent walkover to their opponents.
