News Round-Up

Worcester Joint Manager Carl Heeley is one of five new faces to join the club's Board. The new intake includes three members of the Supporters Trust as the club aims to gather the expertise to deliver their new stadium back in their home city. Telford's Board have called on their Supporters Trust members to make their views heard after just 20 out of 450 attended two information evenings on their planned share vote.

Northampton Town have unveiled Kelvin Thomas as their new Executive Chairman. The former Oxford chairman, along with partners David Bower and Mike Wailing, have joined the club board with David and Tony Cardoza both stepping down along with fellow Director Barry Hancock. The new owners are reported to have paid the debt to HMRC, and the Council have agreed a 'Memorandum of Understanding' over the £10.25million loan and will end the procedure to appoint an Administrator.

Northwich 1874 have withdrawn from the FA Vase after being told they would have to make a 400 mile round trip on Wednesday night. Their trip to Morpeth was postponed at the weekend after the fan-owned side stayed overnight on the Friday, but they say they could not raise a team for the rearranged date as players could not get time off work for the eight hour round trip. Morpeth have donated their £1,000 prize money from the subsequent walkover to their opponents.

Shepshed Dynamo chairman Mick Sloan has announced he will step down at the end of the season. Sloan, whose company sponsors the club, says he will remain a Director but that work commitments mean he cannot commit the time. Marlon Jackson has been released by Tranmere. The former Bristol City youngster was on non-contract terms there, making two starts and nine sub appearances, but hadn't featured in the last six weeks.
