News Round-Up

Kidderminster and Torquay are now the bottom two in the National League after Tuesday's games. Both sides drew crowds of less than 1300 as the Harriers drew 1-1 with Boreham Wood, and the Gulls lost 3-2 at home to Dover - their fifth straight loss. Kingsley James scored a late penalty as Halifax won 3-1 at Altrincham.

Northwich Victoria have been told to replay their Second Qualifying Round FA Cup match with Hyde United after being found guilty of fielding on loan goalkeeper Mason Springthorpe without the proper registration in two rounds. The Vics would normally have been thrown out of the competition, but will now face the replay and forfeit £3,000 in prize money to First Qualifying Round opponents AFC Blackpool, who they beat 4-0, as well as not getting half the gate receipts for the replayed match.

Rotherham have had an approach for Walsall's manager Dean Smith rejected. The former Bull is the fourth longest serving manager in the country with his reign at the Bescot Stadium less than six years.
