Hereford United Case Adjourned Until Friday

Hereford United's Court hearing has been adjourned until Friday.

In a short hearing this morning, Mr Registrar Baister adjourned the hearing until the last working date of the Court before Christmas, with the case now to be heard at 4.30pm at the end of the week.

The number seven courtroom was packed with both legal beavers and the public, not all there for the first case on this morning's list. Neither Hereford United chairman Andy Lonsdale nor several supporters were able to get into the room.

Registrar Baister started proceedings at 10.30am and one of the first barristers on his feet was representing HMRC.

Acoustics in the Court were not very good but the HMRC said that there was more debt now owing to them.

The club barrister then reminded the court of their promise to raise money in fifteen working days which Registrar Baister appeared to accept. HMRC agreed to this.

However another barrister did not agree and suggested that the 'credibility of the court was under threat'. He wanted the club finished today.

Nevertheless the adjournment goes ahead.
