"Administrative Error" Puts Lonsdale And Club In National Spotlight

The national media spotlight is shining brighter than ever on Hereford United and Andy Lonsdale after the claimed 'administrative error' that left them with a FA suspension.

While BBC Hereford and Worcester plastered their Drivetime show with coverage, national media also discussed the issue in greater depth than ever before.

BBC Midlands Today sent a satellite van down to Edgar Street to interview manager Jon Taylor and HUST Vice Chairman Martin Watson, with further comments to be broadcast in their late programme, and ITV Central also featured the story on their evening news.

The BBC's Pat Murphy covered the matter on 5Live, telling listeners how the club had 'fallen apart' and  "This could happen to any football club. All football supporters should pay heed to what's going on at Hereford United."

The main BBC News page also listed Hereford United as one of their breaking news headlines:

Elsewhere, both the Daily Mail and Mirror were contacting people for quotes, and online TV channel Sports Tonight TV also covered the situation.

Online articles appeared from The Guardian, Mirror, FourFourTwo, and BT Sport, with fans of many clubs lamenting the demise of the club, while Sky Sports also interviewed Taylor who told them the players would continue to train and he expected it to all be resolved.
