Game At St Neot's Goes Ahead Says Taylor

Neil Phelps And Jon Taylor Behind Bars At Edgar Street Early This Afternoon
Despite the attempted re-possession of Edgar Street by the Council last night, tomorrow's match at St Neot's where Hereford United are the visitors will go ahead according to Jon Taylor but the Bulls might be without several players.

"The game is definitely on at St Neot's tomorrow afternoon, 3.00pm kick-off," the Hereford United manager told BN.

Taylor was then asked about the incident at Slough which saw two of his players red-carded.

"They haven't gone yet but we will look at the video evidence this afternoon, if that shows it is positive that they did do what was said then effectively they will be sacked from the club."

Taylor was then asked to comment on his interview in the Hereford Times about supporters who aren't coming to matches.

"I think a lot of it gets twisted.

"Everything I said to the Hereford Times and was printed wasn't what I said.

"What I basically said that there are a lot of people who sit behind their computers moaning about the team, moaning about the political and financial side about the club but I'm only here for the football side, and the football side only.

"All I want to do is get it right on the football field.

"I'm not about politics, the finances, all I want to see is football being played here.

"I want them to come back and support the club.

"They supported the four year reign of David Keyte and with respect they still had 1800 people watching.

"The demise of the club, until the new regime took over, was all to do with the old regime.

"Effectively we are getting the blame for it, including the football side which I think is totally unfair.

"We want the loyal supporters to come back to the club, we want them to watch us week in week out, we want them to get behind the team.

"We've a good young side we are producing at the minute and I feel the club will go forward.

"But there are a lot of off-field problems which hopefully will be sorted out and hopefully we can get more people through the turnstiles."

Finally Taylor spoke about the reported payment by the club to Hereford Council for outstanding rent.

"We hear that apparantly it has been paid."
