Ex-Bull Watch

Sam Clucas scored his first Chesterfield goal but they lost 3-2 to Doncaster. Mark Marshall netted the winner as Port Vale beat Barnsley in their first game after Micky Adams' departure. Andy Williams scored for Swindon as they beat Sheff Utd 5-2.

Stuart Fleetwood scored the only goal of the game as Eastleigh beat Braintree. Eric Odhiambo has joined Jon Brady's Brackley Town, where his former Bulls trialist brother Eddie also plays. Both lined up along with loan signing Sam Smith in their goalless draw with Bradford PA yesterday.

Also in Conference North, Rob Purdie made his debut as Tamworth's caretaker boss with a 1-1 draw at home to Colwyn Bay. The 31 year old played the full game, leaving the shouting to Paul Green, who was suspended. Afterwards, Purdie told the press:

"Having Paul (Green) and Dave (Hibbert) in the dugout today really helped us although I think Paul lost his voice after about 30 minutes! We were able to see what was happening from all angles and although injuries and suspension obviously didn't help us I think that we played the best we have all season this afternoon."

In the Scottish Premier League, Marley Watkins scored as Inverness beat St Johnstone to move back to the top of the table, six points ahead of Celtic but with the giants having two games in hand.
