Enquiry Over Edgar Street Freehold Made In April

Herefordshire Council have responded to a Freedom of Information request over whether there were any enquiries over the freehold of Edgar Street.

The Council had originally told the applicant for the information that there were no enquiries, but then submitted a further answer:

I write further to my letter of 21st August in response to the above Freedom of Information request in which I advised you that there had been no enquiries or meetings regarding the potential purchase of the freehold of the site.

Following further enquiries I would like to clarify that during the course of one meeting held on 23rd April 2014, which David Keyte had requested, one of the people he brought with him did mention that they would be interested in a freehold purchase, if the option was available.

In attendance at this meeting was Mr David Keyte, David Price and three associates. It was one of the associates which made the enquiry. Unfortunately, no minutes were made of the meeting, and the only record that we hold of the associates names is in the register at Brockington reception, and it is impossible to decipher the attendees names from the handwriting. Attending council officers are also unable to recall these names.
