Rolls Gets Five Year Ban For Betting

Kettering chief George Rolls has been banned from football for five years by the FA after being found guilty of over 3,000 infringements of betting rules.

The former Weymouth and Cambridge chairman has been banned from 'all football activity' meaning he can no longer have any involvement in any football club. He has also been fined £10,000 and warned regarding his future conduct.

The 37 year old was charged for offences while involved at both his previous clubs, but neither has been implicated in the investigation. He is expected to appeal the decision, with the future of Kettering put into serious doubt.

Update: An FA statement says Rolls admitted around 300 of the 3,000 charges, but he was found guilty on all counts.
