News Round-Up

Macclesfield have added two more new faces to their squad, signing on keeper Lance Cronin and winger Peter Winn. Cronin, 26, has played over 200 times for Ebbsfleet but managed just nine games in two years for Gillingham and Bristol Rovers. Winn, 23, spent most of last season on loan at Cambridge and Grimsby before being released by Stevenage.

The Welsh Premier have signed a new three year TV deal with S4C to televise live matches. The deal will, for the first time, pay clubs for each match broadcast rather than a single payment for the season. At their AGM, the clubs also voted to scrap their winter break. Former Bull Janos Kovacs was named in the Conference Team of the Year, as voted for by the member clubs, at the Conference AGM yesterday.

Barnet have named Mark Robson as their new 'Head Coach'. Rather than acting as manager, Robson, who has been first team coach at Gillingham and Peterboro in recent seasons, will manage the first team as well as overseeing developments at the club's Academy. Hyde have signed released Morecambe striker Phil Jevons for the coming season. The 32 year old ended last season on trial at Wrexham.
