Millers In No Rush To Name Manager

The Bulls travel to Rotherham on Saturday with the Millers unlikely to resolve their managerial vacancy beforehand.

Club chairman Tony Stewart has told the BBC he will whittle 40 serious applicants to a ten man shortlist over the coming days and begin interviews ahead of making an unrushed decision:

"Ideally we want an appointment before the end of this season to give the new man an opportunity to assess what we need and weigh up the circumstances. The shortlist can be drawn up of around ten or less candidates from the applications received."

The Millers went down 3-0 at Crawley on Saturday and, much like the Bulls, felt aggrieved they didn't get the rub of the green in front of goal. Caretaker boss Darren Patterson told the press after the match:

"I am obviously disappointed with the result, but first half we should be comfortably three or four in front. We absolutely battered them, couldn't convert our chances and get done with a sucker punch."

The Millers now sit nine points adrift of the Play-offs with just seven games remaining.
