News Round-Up

Swindon are still waiting on Football League acceptance of their loan approach for striker Paul Benson. They are asking for 'common sense' from the FL after they apparently failed to fax the transfer across in time. Robins boss Paolo Di Canio has said winger Matt Ritchie is worth £2million after turning down a £250,000 offer from Bournemouth on deadline day.

Ahead of their loss to Plymouth today, Northampton caretaker boss Tim Flowers told his players to 'go and work in a shop' if they didn't have the mental strength to get them out of trouble. The former England keeper says he doesn't want the manager's job full time. Plymouth's official website has apologised to defender Paul Bignot after calling him 'a chump' after he was sent off against Stourbridge in the week.

Yeovil have released plans to build a new food store on land by Huish Park. They say if the plans are not approved, it will be 'dire' for the club as it is struggling to 'maintain it's position in the Football League'. Darlington chairman Raj Singh has used his programme notes to blast some of the club's players that have refused to even enter into talks over reducing wages at the club. Singh says some players have agreed cuts of up to 25%.
