News Round Up

Burton have signed departed Crewe keeper Adam Legzdins on a two year deal. Accrington are giving a trial to released Coventry defender Curtis Wynter, who made two senior appearances for the club. Cheltenham are reported to have signed ex-Bristol City man Frankie Artus and released Dagenham striker Wesley Thomas, who scored three goals in two seasons with the Daggers.

Grimsby have signed Crawley striker Charles Ademeno on a two year deal after he was linked to string of League Two sides. The Mariners have also lost the services of assistant boss Chris Casper, who has taken up a youth coaching role with Man Utd. Barnet report that winger Albert Jarrett is to sign for Bristol City shortly, with the two clubs negotiating a fee for the out of contract player. Ex-Bull Sammy Igoe has signed for Havant and Waterlooville in Conf South. The 35 year old has signed a one year deal with a one year option.

Accrington boss John Coleman says his reputation is the best thing to attract players to the club after admitting they cannot match many Conference sides on the financial side. They are trialling released Burnley teenagers Ben Hoskin and Liam Newman, and ex-Macclesfield man Sean Hessey. Oxford have signed released Bury midfielder Richie Baker on a six month deal. The 22 year old spent four seasons with the Shakers, making 129 appearances.

Wycombe have signed midfielder Kieran Murtagh after he turned down a contract offer from Yeovil. Northampton have signed midfielder Alistair Slowe on a one year contract. The 21 year old was a trainee at Brighton before moving to Ghana for family reasons. He has since played in Ghana and Cyprus. Cheltenham have named former Worcester manager George Rooney as their chief scout.

Wycombe have signed Peterboro striker Scott Rendell on a three year deal for an undisclosed fee. He scored 12 goals in 35 games for Torquay last season. Barnet have signed winger Rossi Jarvis has signed after being released by Luton. The former Norwich man was capped by Paul Fairclough for England C.
