Bulls trialist Mustapha Dumbaya turned out for Doncaster at Grimsby on Tuesday night. Port Vale have opened talks over a regeneration of their Vale Park home in order to increase revenue at the stadium. Everton will not be following up their interest in Vale's teenage striker James Lawrie. The Bournemouth Echo is to run a campaign calling on the Football League to end their transfer embargo.

Ex-Bull Dean Smith has returned to his Walsall roots as their new Head of Youth. He started his playing career at the club before joining the Bulls in a club record transfer, and has returned after leaving Leyton Orient in January. Cheltenham have loaned goalkeeper Will Puddy to Bath City for three months. The 21 year old was their second choice keeper.

Bury have signed ex-Morecambe midfielder Damien Allen on a one year deal. The 22 year old played 24 times in two seasons at Christie Park. Accrington are to sign Leeds keeper Alan Martin on loan until January. The Scottish u-21 international spent much of last season at Barrow. Barnet have given winger Albert Jarrett a three month contract. The 24 year old was with Gillingham last season, playing 16 times.

Chester have been allowed by the FA to play Saturday's match with Droylsden. The game is a memorial match for a local soldier who died in Afghanistan. Southend chairman Ron Martin says there's nothing to worry about after the taxman adjourned a court appearance over an outstanding £690,000 tax bill. He says the club will have settled the bill by the new date of October 28th.
