Hereford United have invited VP Club members to an 'informal meeting' to 'alleviate any concerns' following the sudden announcement that the VP Club was to be taken over.
A letter, dated 19th May 2009, signed by Graham Turner invites members to the meeting to discuss the situation that has 'led to a number of queries from members'. The letter goes on to state 'A full and frank discussion is envisaged' for the June 1st meeting.
The letter also states that an AGM will be held in July, a note that was not included in the original letter received by members on May 15th. Many members had assumed that there would be no AGM as that original letter made no reference to it, and the club had apparently already set membership prices for the coming season - a function usually associated with the AGM.
