GT Confirms Departed Pair

Graham Turner has confirmed the departures of Michael Ingham and John McCombe in the latest interview on the official site.

Ingham has joined York, wanting first team football, with Turner's best wishes while McCombe is released while Turner "thanked him for his services."

Wayne Brown, Richard Rose, and Sam Gwynne have all received offers, while Luke Webb has an opportunity to recover from injury to prove himself. More players will be made offers prior to the weekend.

Turner also responded to the reaction to his Town Hall speech that left fans questioning if he was departing: "Definitely going, but when is another matter. What I was trying to say was that the one thing constant about a football club is the supporters."

Turner had begun looking for new players, but would continue with the policy of 'living within our means' - pointing to the loss of Tamika Mkandawire last summer: "Absolute stalwart. We lose him, and improve!"

On the Watford pair, Turner revealed that the 'first option' given on Toumani Diagouraga during the Lionel Ainsworth transfer would mean money if he did not sign a permanent deal at Edgar Street. He also hoped Theo Robinson could stay another year, and the same for the other loanees.

Turner still hopes for a Bristol City friendly, but Aston Villa look likely to go to the Intertoto Cup rather than come to Edgar Street.
