News Round Up

A second manager has accused Paul Fairclough of abusing his position as England National Game manager. Jimmy Harvey has accused Fairclough over full back Kevin Nicholson, who is on the verge of leaving Forest Green for Barnet. Harvey told the press: "If he has been tapped up by Paul, then I am disappointed. I recommended Kevin for a call-up, and if that time away was used to get him to Barnet, then it's totally out of order"

Torquay have confirmed the departure of Richard Hancox. The former player, assistant manager, caretaker manager, groundsman, and coach is married to former chairman Mike Bateson's daughter who left the club following the takeover. Dagenham have signed Ebbsfleet defender Ross Smith on a two year deal.

Another non-league club of legendary status has gone bust. Enfield FC won the Isthmian League seven times and the FA Trophy twice, but a vicious ownership battle in 2001 saw the majority of fans, and the supporters trust, depart the club for a new Enfield Town club. Cardiff have reported a £1million profit for the season to May 2006, after recording a £6million loss the season before. The wage bill was cut from £8.5m to £6.5m.
