Not our day with the Officials says Travis

Simon Travis gave a long and detailed interview to BBC Hereford and Worcester after the game at Canvey Island this afternoon ended in a draw. Below is a flavour of the interview.

Travis spoke about about Adam Stansfield's serious injury.

"He looks in a bad way. He looks as though he has a depressed fracture of his cheekbones. His nose is in a pretty bad state as well. We know he is in hospital at the moment. It put things into propective when you see an injury like that it's just a game of football. There are far more important things than football and three points when Adam is in such a bad way."

Travis spoke about the goals.

"It's (Hereford's) was a great move. Nicky did ever so well and it was a good finish from Stuart. Unfortunately defensive lapse and they got themselves straight back into the game within about a minute.

"It looked harsh on Tam, it looked harsh from the dug-out. Tam said he didn't touch the guy. But it's been given and we can't argue with that.

"Sometimes you get decisions, sometimes you don't. Unfortunately it's not really been our day with the officials."

Moving onto Jeannins dismissal, Travis thought the booking was harsh.

"He clearly won the ball, we could all see that. For some reason the referee first of all gave a free kick and then decided to book him. He was disappointed with what the refs decision was and he's got himself sent off.

"He's only got himself to blame really. He can't argue with that, he should have kept quiet.

"It was a bad decision from the ref in the first place. It's not gone our way today.

"I think he is on nine bookings before today. That's why we are so disappointed."
